Howard Devoto had to drop out of the panel, but JON KING of Gang of Four has kindly stepped in to join Paul Morley, Gina Birch, Richard Boon, and myself. Info recap:

Rip It Up and Start Again is out.

There will be a postpunk panel discussion in London on April 27 chaired by me and featuring:

Event starts: 8:30.

informal RIU&SA celebration starts from 7 onwards, you are invited to get me so drunk I am incapable of fulfilling my panel duties.

After the panel there will be the screening of a 60 min video compiling footage of bands including New Order, the Fall, Cabaret Voltaire, Pop Group, Magazine, PIL, Orange Juice, Josef K... and more drinking

(nearest British Rail /Underground station is London Bridge, 5 min walk)

Directions from London Bridge UNDERGROUND station: Take the Borough High Street exit and turn left (so you are walking away from River Thames). You will see an HSBC bank (on the right) on the corner of Southwark Street. Turn right down Southwark Street and walk approx 300 yards passing underneath a bridge until you see the Union Car park on your left. Walk through the car park and you're there!

Directions from London Bridge RAILWAY station:Turn left out of the main entrance & walk down London Bridge Street, at the end turn left (so you are walking away from River Thames) & walk about 100 yards. You will see an HSBC bank (on the right) on the corner of Southwark Street.
